Racing games built for short commutes
Arcade racers are perfect commute games. A race is short, a restart is instant, and you don't need to remember a story between sessions.
Neon Drift Rally has been my go-to. The drift-and-boost loop clicks fast, and the offline career gives me something to chase without ever needing a connection.
Controls matter most here. I prefer tap steering to tilt on a crowded train, so I always check whether a game offers both before recommending it.
Battery is the other thing. Bright, fast games drain fast, so I keep sessions short and screen brightness sane on long rides.
If you want a quick jolt between stops, an arcade racer is hard to beat.
