Why we test every game in airplane mode
A lot of games say they work offline. Fewer actually do. Our test is boringly simple: install the game, flip on airplane mode, and try to play it start to finish.
You'd be amazed how often something breaks. A loading screen spins forever. A menu greys out. A level won't start. That's the stuff store pages never mention.
We do this on real phones, not emulators, because touch controls and performance only reveal themselves on hardware. An old mid-range device tells us more than a flagship.
When a game passes cleanly, it earns a place in the catalog. When it stumbles, we say so, and we say where.
It's not glamorous work, but it's the reason people trust the offline label here.
